Mark is an Advisor to the Company and has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and operations, including work as a turnaround specialist, an active portfolio manager and an investor in growing companies. Since January 2014, Mark has served as CEO and Co-founder of Barastone, Inc., Barastone Corp and Barastone, LLC. .
Barastone specializes in helping homeowners manage their home wealth. Mark co-founded Synthym, Inc., where he served as CEO from January 2005 to present. Synthym is a technology and financial services firm. Mark has served as CEO of N4 Financial, Inc., a registered broker dealer, since January 2005. Mark has served as vice president since October 2001 of Rivily, Inc. a specialty consulting firm. Mark co-founded NFT Ventures with Ray Noorda, chairman of Novell, Inc. and for more than 12 years, managed the portfolio of assets for NFT valued at over $1 billion. He led investment activities in many successful startups primarily focused on technology software and services in Silicon Valley, Utah, Texas and Rhode Island and guided some of the companies through their developmental stages to an acquisition, merger or IPO. On behalf of NFT Ventures, Mark served as interim CEO for several portfolio companies.
Mark began his career at Ernst & Young in New York and received his BBA from Pace University in New York. He is a FINRA registered representative holding series 7, 24, 63 and 99 licenses. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for several private and public companies.
